Tribute To World Trade Center

Glisteningwtc lights

Oriental children close up

To the ebony plateau

Gaze at the thin layer

Of water gliding over

The lobbies sculpture

Hands out stretched, smiling

They must touch it

Giggling in glee of amazement

As they run upon

The ebony plateau

Glistening

As the water glides

Center Plaza

At the center is a ball

Of crimson and ebony

As water flows upon the sculpture

It is surrounded

Among the man made walls

Towering the highest in the land

Casting shadows, as the day proceeds

Many visitors pass

This man made wonder

Foreigners, locals, commuters

Everyday, at many different times

See such a sight in awe

Causing all who pass, to stop and stare

Embedding it’s self

Within their minds forever

Is a crimson and ebony sculpture ball

In the center plaza of New York City’s

World Trade Center

World Trade Center Wind

Creepy sounds the wind

Crawling through the World Trade Center

Sounding like space creatures

Hearing – Listening

Darkness falls upon the City

Black Out

Creepy sounds the wind

Whoever needs to hear

They are only to listen

To find the

World Trade Center’s Creatures

Observing the wind

While one watches the Center’s sculpture

Shaped, like a darker world

Let one’s imagination form

What the World Trade Center’s Creatures are

Truly to be seen only in darkness

While listening

At the World Trade Center

In a city wide Black out

I hear these creatures

Or is it just the wind

Newscaster Announces:

“The World Trade Center has been hit

By an unidentified airplane.”

The world watches flames in disbelief,

Astonishment, grief, this is insane

A newscaster yells in the background

During a live broadcast

“What the hell is that?”

As the world watches the second plane

Intentionally crash into Tower Two

Engulfing flames spew from the Towers

Darkness swallows the New York Skyline

The newscaster announces:

“The Pentagon is hit”

The World holds it’s breath and watches

Within an hour Tower Two collapsea

Then Tower One,

Lost are the Twins of the City

Thousands lay trapped dying or dead

As the world watches

The flames consume

Changing the Skyline

And the World forever

Vivid Images Left

A police car’s windshield blown out

A man jumping from the building

An amateur video depicting

Half of an American Flag

Hanging off a twisted lamp post

A mangled fire truck

A woman covered in soot

A fire fighter crying

The World Changed Forever

Sophie's Window

Ten-foot green shutters

Grace the street's first floor balcony.

A wash line emptied each night

From the daily boy's wear.

The 26th of July Street

Is a 35-mile long, 6-lane main drag

Which stretches in front of the sea.

Palm trees along the middle island rustles

As the traffic whizzes by.

The night air, filled with barbecue corn,

And salt sea freshness.

The trot of a horse drawn carriage

Break the noisy people and taxi horns.

The sun sets, and the noisy people are now just a hum,

We sit upon the balcony, late into the night

Emptying all thoughts,

Finding lost souls,

Connecting a love of femininity,

Crying for our husband's fates

Praising our children's accomplishments,

Opening to each other heart's desires,

Fusing to the end of time.

As the night grows into dawn,

And the sun rises

The fishermen in their boats

Silently begin their day

Rowing west, past the Sultan's castle,

Through the harbor,

Then disappear. ©

I’m the baby, life is good

Thud, thud against the bed as she snuggled under the blankets not awake yet.  He said “Who’s the baby?” directing the comment to the 135 pound Presa Canario dog sleeping at the end of the bed.  Her eyes not opened, she answered “I am”.  He replied “No you’re the big girl.”  She pouted.  He came around the bed, leaning over and squeaked a kiss in her ear. “I would wag my tail if I had one.” she said.  “Ah that’s the nicest thing you’ve said to me.”  She looked at him, and his eyes were glistening, even after all these years he still can make her smile at the little things in life.   Life is good.

A Day

A Day

        Body
               For feed
Kisses rainbows

Apple mouse always imagines
         Thuds that jump over candles

Rockets were rough
When sad small snow fell black

The heart quiets woman
         Coloring songs pink

Where music flies by
            Sparkles inside the dreamer

Shahenda

S he stood on top
Of the crested falls,
As sunlight danced
Within rushing waters.

Hands spread upwards
In meditation,
Speaking
To the inner powers
To appear.

Her full length
Emerald green cloak
Whipping
In the wind
That burst forth.

Transfixed upon
Kaatskill Falls,
The wind gushed,
Throwing her hood aside
Unleashing,
A wave
Of waist length auburn hair.
Green eyes flashed
As she chanted.

Dazzling rays
Of prism light
Danced
Forth from her right hip,
Her powers,
Being flocked together.

Echoing
Her words in the wind
“I open
To the North,
I open
To the East,”
“I open
To the South,
I open
To the West,”
"Elements
Complete my circle!”

Suddenly
An awestricken thunder clap
Rain pelted the entire world,
The wind
Growled echo’s within the ears.

Transposed,
Gazing sky-wards,
In her harbored circle.

All light
Was now turning
Into the shadows of evil,
As she had predicted,
The dark times had begun.

Her cloak
Whipped sky-wards
Standing straight above
Her up-spread hands and head.
Her eyes
Casting upwards,
Her hair
Hurling in the wind.

Her white gown
Blasted
By speckles
Of black dirt.

Prism rays
Of color
Danced
Within her protected circle.

Illuminating
The crest she stood upon,
As she chanted.

Night swallowed day
As darkness
Engulfed all.
There was nothing
But silence,
Within those dark hours.

As the silence
Was broken
With dawn’s awakening
Soft cooing
Of birds filled the air
The wind sighed gently,
Animals stirred cautiously.

Upon the crest
Of Kaatskill Falls,
Within
The illuminating circle
Stood a graceful tree
 With emerald green leaves
In an upswept reach
And a white spotted trunk.

And from hence forth,
Shahenda
The wizard
Was seen no more.

Observer

2009-12-31 3-21-2010 010 (2)

I am the silent observer
I watch the world With loving eyes

I see this life
I feel this life
I’ve dreamt this life

I have pushed clouds
Across the sky
From behind dark mountains

I have lit the sky
With the Aurora Bora
On the coldest night

You know who I am
You know my title
You know my label

Does this scare you?
Does this close your eyes?
Will this open your heart?
